The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK Ms. Caroline Ziadeh welcomed Council of Europe’s delegation at UNMIK HQ today.
The delegation composed of distinguished lawyers Ms. Sia Spiliopolou Akermark, Mr. Thomas Markert, Ms. Sonia Sirtori and Mr. Frank Power. The visit took place as part of the consultative process led by the delegation in the context of Kosovo’s application for membership in the Council of Europe. They discussed latest developments in Kosovo, as well as the human right situation in Kosovo. SRSG Ziadeh briefed on UNMIK's mandate and trust-building activities.
