In Kinshasa, Philomene Edebu (4 years old) just can’t wait to get involved in mine action. With her father being the Risk Education/Victim Assistance Associate for UNMAS DRC, of course, Risk Education comes naturally to her. Here she is, checking out the new school bags that will be distributed to children all across Eastern DRC once the school term resumes in three weeks. The key message for children in areas affected by conflict is ‘don’t touch any strange objects’. UNMAS thanks the Government of Japan for supporting this initiative.
